DJ McGarrigan has been working in various aspects of the real estate industry his entire career. He is passionate about his work and motivated by the opportunity to help clients reach their real estate goals and build relationships that extend beyond the sale.

Originally from Ft. Washington, Maryland, DJ moved to the area after graduating from Elon University with a degree in Accounting in 1996. After being in the mortgage loan business for ten years, he started investing in rental properties and discovered he had a true passion for working in this sector of the industry. When the recession hit, DJ decided to navigate the challenging season by becoming a licensed Realtor. This new role allowed him to use all of his experience and skills and interact with clients on a daily basis, an aspect of the business that DJ genuinely enjoys.

DJ has been married to his wife, Tara, since 2000 and they have three children. They value spending time together as a family, and especially love attending their children’s ball games, camping and being active in their church. DJ is an avid sports fan and pulls for the Washington Redskins, Maryland Terrapins, the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Capitals. A tennis enthusiast, DJ is on a USTA team for Lake Jeanette Swim and Tennis Club and plays matches as part of the team or with friends. DJ is a history buff and likes to watch historical television shows that portray a particular period of history.

In 2010, DJ founded the McGarrigan Group and built a team of professionals with specific areas of expertise to help even more people realize their real estate dreams and facilitate real estate transactions in the most efficient manner possible. DJ is proud of his team and greatly values their broad knowledge base, impressive attention to detail and commitment to always contributing their best.
